are pay cuts for remote workers just an empty threat ?

over the last year and a half , a lot of companies have allowed employees to work remotely

now that vaccinations are in place , they are inviting them back to the office

but employees are reluctant to work from office now

so the employers are threatening to cut their pay

but this is an empty threat , say HR experts

since Aug 2021 , a lot of workers have switched jobs and we all know that the cost of replacing a worker is high – almost six month’s salary – hiring new employees and retraining them

so , for now ,it just looks like an empty threat

some companies like zillow and reddit have said that they will pay based on the job , not the location of the employee
