what you make depends on how you position yourself

if you are selling a commodity and are positioning yourself based on the lowest price , you are in a race to the bottom

but if you position yourself as a premium player , you can command a premium on price , provided you wow the customer

joshua bell , a world class violinist , plays professionally to a rate of us dollars 100 per ticket was called for a social experiment ..he was asked to play on a subway station in washington d.c , in front of rush hour commuters …

his earnings was a total of 32 dollars …!!

can you imagine a world class player who played to a packed house for 100 dollars per ticket earning just 32 dollars by positioning himself as a roadside player …

so it’s all about market positioning!!
