this story is set in new york , in the 1980’s , when cabs were dirty and cab drivers were rude …and the cabs had a bullet proof partition between the driver and the passenger.. a side effect of the violent times and high crime in new york during that time
a customer gets into a cab and is pleasantly surprised ..
it is clean , has no compartments , a smiling and polite driver , a phone and the daily newspapers to read as well .. just by standing out , the cabbie had stood out in the mind of the customer and eliminated the competition too..
needless to say , he handed out his visiting card for a repeat visit and earned a good tip..
